Activities

In addition to its long-term partnership with the Zain Group, Mada has established itself as a voice carrier in the Middle East and North Africa and a key player in the data and broadband industry in the region, having successfully launched operations in Kuwait, Jordan and Lebanon.
Mada’s long-established partnerships and strong alliances with international carriers enable us to offer worldwide voice and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) services.

Mada along with its Holding Company (XOL), is a founding member of the Regional Cable Network (RCN), a terrestrial fiber consortium extending from the city of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates to Europe; with a 12.8 Terabits per second data carrying capacity.

2013 - 2014

  • Launch of SMS P2P and A2P hubbing services
  • Launch of VAYA voice-over-IP service and instant messaging mobile application
  • Establishment of Waves Jordan, a licensed voice operator
  • Launch of Connexions an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Lebanon
  • Launch of Waves, a digital service provider (DSP) in Lebanon


2012

  • Acquisition of Mada Jordan by Zain Group
  • Acquisition of Mada Bahrain by Zain Group


2011

  • Mada Kuwait became the number one wireless broadband operator In Kuwait
  • Launch of the Jordan hub for international carrier services


2010

  • Mada Jordan became a founding member of Regional Cable Network (RCN), the largest terrestrial fiber cable system connecting Asia to Europe via the Middle East
  • Mada Jordan became the number one wireless broadband operator in Jordan


2009

  • Acquisition of Waves S.A.L, a licensed data service provider in Lebanon
  • Launch of WiMAX services in Jordan covering 80% of the population
  • Establishment of an international MPLS node in Amman, Jordan, in partnership with Saudi Telecom (STC)
  • Establishment of Mada Bahrain
  • Establishment of Mada Iraq


2008

  • Mada Kuwait acquired Dizlee Communications, a leading value-added service provider in Kuwait
  • Launch of the UK voice and data hub for international carrier services


2007

  • MADA merged with Mada Kuwait
  • Establishment of Mada Jordan, a wireless broadband provider covering the entirety of the population of the Kingdom
  • Built and operated one of the largest VSAT networks in North Africa for cellular backhaul
  • Establishment of Navleb GPS navigation and tracking, providing services in Lebanon, Iraq, and Nigeria


2004

  • Establishment of Mada (formerly WPI )


2012
